Ok so I have a problem with wordpress

It;s a silly problem but I deleted index.html in the public_html because i wanted to get rid of the welcome screen but my wordpress blog won't load up it just goes straight to a file browser with "Index/" at the top. What should I do? nowloading.exofire.net

Is your wordpress index.php file there? have you installed wordpress? how are you trying to install it? Fantastico or manually through the wp-admin/install.php file?

It seems you've deleted WordPress "index.php".. Upload it again and it should work if you did not delete any other important files.

I have installed wordpress and i have 2 index.php files one in my wp-admin and one in my wp-content

I don't think you should use the wp-admin index.php or the otherone. If i'm correct ther would be a index.php in the root folder (first folder of WP). If there isn't, download WP, then upload just the index.php. Then, do a file called .htaccess. If there is already one use that. Open it and look if you can find

DirectoryIndex index.php

. Isn't it there add it and save as .htaccess (htaccess is the extension, the file shouldn't have a name, just .htaccess)

Thanks for the help I got it working it seems I forgot to upload the index.php file
