Your email address will be confidential unless you want to show it to us using user control panel.Ofcourse admins can see it.

One day I was teaching my younger brother how to create a Orkut, facebook account.At that time I recieved a buddy request from Anna(As you can see that below of my name there is a yahoo messenger link).I accepted it and she started to chat with me.And she sent me some offending messages, Later I came to know it was a bot which is not very intelligent.So it is very risky to keep private information in public unless you know how to handle such events.
