i am trying to set up my OsTicket with SMTP instead of the php mail() function. i have the following settings for SMTP right now:
SMTP host - lotus.x10hosting.com
port - 465
authentication required? - yes
i have tried various servers (smtp.gmail.com and lotus.x10hosting.com). when i go to enable the SMTP server settings the server spits out an error (internal server error) and does not save the settings.
i can enable POP/IMAP without difficulties, again using the manual settings from CPanel.
location of OsTicket - linwin.x10hosting.com/tickets/
server - lotus
hosting package - adfree-adfree
