Hi,
I logged onto my account this morning and can't do anything. I can't upload files, I can't publish articles to my blog. all i can do is open stuff and read things.

I went to my account panel and see that I only have 1024MB of space and it's all used up. 0MB FREE. i thought we had more space than that.

Domain is takuhii.x10hosting.com

Any help would be grealty appreciated
Regards

Darren

erm... no. The account panel is still reading as 1024MB used / 0 MB free, and I can't add anything to my site at all.

Any ideas?

How mush space do you think you are actually using? If you are using all of your disk space then you need to upgrade your account.

If this is a error please let me know.

Go to cPanel. How much disk space is cPanel reporting? The charts in the Account Panel might be inaccurate probably from a temporary bug.

If you know for a fact that your site doesn't use that much data, since 1024MB = 1GB, if you have any PHP scripts I would suggest looking around for .core files where the PHP Scripts are located in your public_html folder. Every now and again I seem to get those and they can consume at times over 40MB of disk. Anything else though would have to be a glitch with cPanel.

Looks like my own stupidity. I have a plugin in wordpress that is supposed to be backing up to "the cloud". It's saving the backups locally. I have just deleted over 800MB of redundant backup data. The data monitors have yet to catch up though. Both cPanel and Account Panel still reporting 1024MB usage. Will give it a few hours ;) Cheers chaps

Hi,
My account is still reading 1024MB used despite having deleted over 800MB worth of data. CPanel is also reporting 1024MB data in use, BUT when I view the actual data through disk space usage monitor the actual disk space used is nothing close to that.

Any ideas?

This is what I too am trying to understand. i thought FREE accounts had unlimited disk-space, but it looks as though I only have 1024MB AND it's constanly full, despite me only have a couple of hundred MBs of data...

Can someone please advise?

unshure if you can make your own support ticket nowadays cause so much has changed to free accounts lately:confused:

Free does not have unlimited disk space. They will have after June 1st though.

Currently the limit is 1GB (1024 MB).

Fair enough, but why does my account say I am using all my disk space when I'm not?

:(

I see your account with the following disk usage information: Disk Space Usage 301.14/1024 MB
Try clearing browser cache, you might be getting a cached version of the cPanel.

More likely it was never configured for your server after the migrations, as unlimited is the default setting in cPanel.
And seeing as it is gonna change in about a month, I guess it never held priority to sort it either.

The Account Panel's data lags behind cPanel by a bit, and cPanel lags a few hours behind actual changes.
