outgoing mail using Outlook Express

We have configured Outlook Express manually for IMAP and also by using the autoconfiguration tool.

The problem is that when we send mail, it leaves the outbox, but does not get to the recipient. Also, we get no bounceback non-delivery notices.

What to do?
