Well, if you know how to monitor the temperature of the CPU, then it's a matter of over clocking it very slightly until you get it to where you want it. Pretty much, you need to start off with your default factory clock speed. Then, just crank it up to the level where you want very slowly, allowing the system to apply to the new clock speed. After, check the stability and the temperature for some time, and if it's good, bump it a little more. Though I don't see why you would need to overclock a Q6600. I have one and have never needed to use nTune or my BIOS to overclock my gaming computer. Also, note that overclocking WILL degrade the life of your hardware, so use it at your own risk.

Ive just OC'd mine, heres a help thread I created on another forum, you might find it useful:

Theres also a load of other useful threads here, so you might want to take a look through those. Note that all CPUs are different, and the settings that worked for me or others might not work for you, you just have to try them. And take it in small steps, increase the FSB in 5-10MHz jumps and the voltage in as little as your BIOS will go.

Hope that helps.
