Pages outputing error 404

Some pages on my site are just displaying error 404.but all those pages on my server with the correct url link.i have tried setting permission to 0755 bt all to no avail.pls,help!

That's nowhere near enough information; read my sig for more. Moreover, if you search these forums for information on permissions, you'll find that only directories should have execute permissions, as no page script will be executed directly.

Your information is less. However, this is a common thing with new users. Your files can't be accessed immediately. Are you a new user, and all? I think you need to wait for at least 24 hours for your site to be up. Till then you can edit/upload but can't view.

All this is if you are a new user. From what you've said I couldn't make out, sorry.

Thank you all!i ain't a new user.when i click a particular tutorial which i created on d server of which the url is correct and tested ok (sconcepts.co.cc/tutorials).i have tried changing directory permission to 0755 or 0777 but it seemed nt 2 work either.pls,i need ur advice.

Looking at the URLs used in the links on the page you give, they're all under /admin/cpanel (e.g. http://sconcepts.co.cc/admin/cpanel/allposts/Basic%20cURL%20Example%20with%20PHP), which is wrong on the face of it. Double check what the URLs should be, and how they're generated.

Making directories universally writable is not only unhelpful, but just plain insecure, unnecessary and wrong. Read up on permissions.

Having spaces in file or directory names is inviting disaster.

Do not do it.

Period.

Go back and rename your directories and fix your links. Replace the spaces with dashes.

That is what is causing the problem.

PS. A quick fix is to use the path to your index pages rather than just to the directory.
