Hi all,

I have set up my web site, and then I set up my own domain for it. So First I set the NS as per the instructions and added it to the domains management page.

On some internet connections I find the site works fine. on others I get a directed to 81.21.76.62/index.html?domain=divingbakers.arcadia.me.uk" and am shown a strange message about relationships with advertisers. Not my site.
going to divingbakers.x10host.com always works.

I might be guessing here but it looks like DNS has replicated ok, but on the server farm some of the servers recognise the host headers but others do not.

Is there something I can do to make this work?

Cheers

Alex

The main reason it is a hit and miss is likely the fact that you have a couple more nameservers then ours set (checking the maindomain arcadia.me.uk). If you absolutely need to have the other two as well (for the main domain and/or other subdomains), you would need to add the subdomain at the control panel for the domain, and set a proper A record for the subdomain to point towards us.

All nameservers you set for the domain need to contain the information about what to do when the domain is requested. As it is now it would work if by chance one of the x10 nameservers is used to look up the information on where to go, but would fail if one of the others (which I assume are the registrar ones) are used, since those seem to lack proper information about where to send the user (browser) that is asking for that domain.
