Password change pending 16+ hrs?

Earlier today I changed my cPanel password, but the update status is still shown as "process wait". I was wondering whether this is normal or something went wrong?

It hasn't been an overly long wait yet, but still... 16 hours to change a password

That is overly long, it usually only takes 5 minutes tops. This seems to usually occur when your account is being transferred, so it cannot actually apply the changes. At any point you can try changing the password again and it'll be put in the queue.

I actually did try changing it again six minutes after the original request, but that one is still processing as well.

I've just tried again for a third time; still no luck.

That means you are probably on one of the servers that is being migrated, once the transfers are complete you can try again and it should function as desired.

Hmm alright, thanks. I'm in no hurry so I guess I'll give it a few days before asking again.
