PECL uploadprogress library

On my Drupal status report I get the following warning:

Upload progress Not enabled
Your server is capable of displaying file upload progress, but does not have the required libraries. It is recommended to install the PECL uploadprogress library (preferred) or to install APC.

On my local wampserver I have the extension php_uploadprogress enabled.
Can this extension also be enabled on x10hosting?

Probably not-but you could try and contact x10 staff to ask them. The problem is all server settings are global for any accounts on that server, so if one person wants an extension, everyone has to have it (in theory)-so you'll probably find the answer is no.

We do not enable particular functions for individual accounts. All functions that are disabled are generally disabled to prevent abuse to our servers or to increase the security of our accounts.

Maybe when more Drupal users ask for this function, it will be enabled in the future...
