performance issues

intermittently unable to connect to my site. when it does connect i get an error that drupal cannot connect to the mysql database backend, below.

The mysql error was: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql-starka.x10hosting.com' (4).

any ideas? suggestions???

As it has been posted, the servers are being moved around. This means that the servers will have some downtime. As with MySQL, set your host to localhost. It is the new value.
