Since the recent outage I noticed that my perl script are not working. I get the "Internal Server Error" message.

Is it something with perl? Should it be working by now?

Thanks

When I clicked on the Send/Enviar button

http://rodriguezgarcia.x10hosting.com/guestbook/addguest1.html

it did not throw a 500 error, ie Perl is working.

May be because I sent a blank for that it did not save.

Check cPanel --> Error Log and that might tell you something.

You might have to change permissions on files/directories.

I think they changed how Perl/Apache runs (now runs as nobody , which has no permissions )

Thank you.

I checked the log and found a file which keeps the guestbook reported acces denied. I just changed the permissions and worked fine.

I changed to 666, is it safe?

WHo needs to write the file if a user is changing it from it's browser?

Thanks

Apache is running as 'nobody' , so the file has to be world writable (for now).

I know, it seems like a bit of a security hole.
