PHP 5.4 Upgrade scheduled for Friday July 19, 2013 on all Free Hosting Servers

We will be upgrading PHP on all the Free Hosting servers, including Illuminated, this Friday. The upgrade is scheduled to begin at 10:00pm CDT (3:00am Saturday July 20 UTC), and will likely take several hours. Brief, minimal service interruptions are expected throughout this time frame.

After the upgrade, all Free Servers (absolut, level, vox, and illuminated) will be set to run on PHP 5.4 as the default PHP version. PHP 5.3 will be available for users who cannot upgrade to PHP 5.4 at this time; more instructions will be posted on how to switch your PHP version in a future announcement. For Illuminated, PHP 5.2 will be available in addition to 5.4 and 5.3.

The upgrade is starting now. First, we will be upgrading level and illuminated. I will post status updates as more information becomes available. As stated above, there may be intermittent service interruptions while the upgrades are taking place, please refrain from opening support tickets on PHP not working if you are on a server that is currently being upgraded until an all clear has been posted.

Upgrades are still underway. Due to the inability of people to read, posting in the Free Hosting forum has been disabled until the upgrades are finished.

Once level has been finished and verified working, upgrades will begin on absolut and vox.
