error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_DEPRECATED

PHP.ini affects the entire server so it can't be modified, same with the overall PHP version.

http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.error-reporting.php details how to set it at run-time at the start of your php files, which would work as it doesn't modify PHP or PHP.ini.
