PHP Magic Quotes

Hey All,

Checking phpinfo();, i find that magic quotes gpc is turned on. Is there a way to turn it off?

Thanks for the reply.
I don't think that I can access the php.ini and using .htaccess will result in an INTERNAL SERVER ERROR.

Is disabling at runtime my only option?
