PHP mail() ?

Does x10hosting free account (adless hosting) allow the use of the PHP mail() function? I am trying to put together a contact form using it, but it is not working.

The function works, but one issue that has come up is if the "From" header does not match an email account, say, "foo@yourdomain.x10hosting.com', attached to your account, but instead is 'myhotmailaccount@hotmail.com', then the mail might work for awhile, but then stops.
