PHP safe_mode

When I try to run php curl script, I get the following error:

Warning: curl_setopt() [function.curl-setopt]: CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when in safe_mode or an open_basedir is set in /home/jpelton/public_html/ab.php on line 76

Do you klnow how I can rectify this?

I don't think there is a way to work around this. There are probably restrictions in place for security reasons on free accounts. Sorry.
