PHP user registration error

Hi Im not sure if this is the right area for this question if not I apologize.

When users go to register an account on my forum it throws up this error every time:
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions_messenger.php on line 410: mail() has been disabled for security reasons

It makes and Inactive account but it fails to send the request to my gmail address. I have to go into the forum ACP and activate the account manually.
I have tried reinstalling phpBB3 a couple times and it hasnt fixed the problem. Other than that I dont know what else to do as Im fairly new to all this. Please let me know if you need more info.

I don't think your PHP version was upgraded correctly.I'd advise you to log in to the account management panel (http://x10hosting.com/login), and downgrade your PHP version to basic, then re-upgrade to intermediate when the downgrade has finished. It'll take some time, but your account's PHP version should be fixed then.
