phpbb installation problems

i'm installing phpbb3 on an ad enhanced account

i uploaded all the phpbb files into a directory

/public_html/forums/

and am ready to install
however the install.php file when navigated to doesn't show anything

i changed all the permissions for applicable files

is this a problem with my x10 account that i need to change or what.
