Hi.
I'm trying to install phpBB3 but when I get to "Database settings" I get this message.

Could not connect to the database, see error message below.
Access denied for user 'eru_eru'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Eru is my username there, so shouldn't it be like this?
Please help.

try taking eru_ out sometimes that works.

Edit: A bit off topic but is phpBB3 out of BETA now?

Look in cPanel and make sure that the settings match what phpBB is using.

@Rolyin: eru_ is required if eru is the cPanel username

To the original creator:

You need to create a Database user in cPanel, and a database, then grant that user all privileges on that database. This can all be done in cPanel.

Thanks.

Now it seems I'm not able to view my primary domain, though. It just says "connection failed" in my browser. Any idea why?

It's working now.

We have been doing some maintenance on servers recently.

Please post back saying if it is working or not.
