Take a look at this: http://forums.x10hosting.com/server-alerts/44667-mysql-issues-here-30.html
I having the same problem too, "Your PHP MySQL library version 4.1.22 differs from your MySQL server version 5.0.45. This may cause unpredictable behavior.", never seen this in my phpmyadmin, This could explain why.

Corey said:
I will update here when I know more info. There is a bug with MySQL that causes 'show databases;' to run slow (200 Seconds+ Sometimes). PHPMyAdmin runs this query right when you open it, hence the slowness.

I was not able to figure it out so asked the DC to take a look, for some reason they downgraded MySQL. I am not sure why yet but once I have updates I will post them here. Please stop with the useless posts and learn to read the entire thread before adding to it. I've already stated I will not provide support in this thread multiple times.

oh and BTW, I hope you know you made two threads...

You'll have to wait. Corey announced that he's going to update us on the status of phpMyAdmin and MySQL in a little bit.

I think you can back up databases in the CPanel, if you need to create tables, you can use PHP for that.

SQLYog has a PHP Script Tunneller which you can use, When SQLYog has full functionality, it's more powerful the phpAdmin.

To the last question, you write up a query and execute it, like you would any other statement.

I'm also having this problem. As I'm new to mySql and PHP I've not got any pages accessing the db yet, can ayone tell me if this performance issue impacts php pages that access the db (as well as phpMyAdmin)? Are paying users also having this trouble?

I think I found a way to do so. If you want to know just PM me, my phpmyadmin problem is now gone.
(To staff: Can I pm you details about my little solution?)
