shell_exec shouldn't be enabled on the Free Hosting to begin with, as the last I checked it was at least disabled.

Shell_exec is disabled on free.

Guys, I think he means to remove it from the blocked_functions list in the php.ini. In which case, it won't be removed it's disabled for security reasons.
