All free servers are at the highest level of PHP so we don't have different levels anymore. What are you having problems with that caused you to request this?

Hello, yesterday, when I install components or templates for Joomal, it keeps encounter failure "Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, no-reply@x10hosting.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.


However, when I try again today, most of time I can success, the "Internal server error" happens few times. As you said, maybe I have no need to upgrade php, but I want to ask why this "Internal server error" happens?

I just checked your website and it loaded fine for me. There may have been some sort of temporary error. Also, try clearing your browser cache and try again. If you are still having difficulty post back and we will assist you farther.

Thanks for your help, I have cleaned my brower cache. I am wondering why the "500 Internal Server error" happen so often, especially when I install Joomla components. However, I do successfully installed some components and plugins today, while some other components can't be installed since it always trigger "500 Internal Server Error"...

the problem was in your .htaccess file.

The line

# RewriteBase /

in default joomla .htaccess file should be replaced with

RewriteBase /
