So, I purchased my domain from namecheap. I'd like to point it to the x10 servers for everything on the servers. Hosting, mail, ftp, cpanel. . . I would still like to use my domain provider's name servers. Should I create records similar to Advanced DNS Zone Editor in the CPanel in my regular DNS, then change the zones in the x10 records? I have a faint idea of what I'm doing, but I'd like to clarify to see if it would work and how to make it work. I hope I explained what I was looking for well enough. I'm also not sure if I used the correct terms to describe this, so bear with me.

If you're not using our name servers all DNS changes would be done on the registrar side. Any changes made with the DNS editor would not matter.

You need to create A names and CNAME records for your site with your registrar.

I set the registrar to use x10s DNS. I may try to do this in the future. I messed around with the records for a bit, but didn't get it down perfectly. Basically, I wanted a way for a different parked site just with contact info to be available in case the x10 servers were down for a bit. I think I'm going to use this method and change it if I run into problems. I've heard in the past people had problems with the servers, but currently, I haven't heard anything bad, so I'll just use x10.

I pointed to the x10 nameservers, but I'm still having trouble. The file manager is freaking out and jumped to saying I have used no disk space. It then restored the files, but when I tried to access the website, it gave me a 404 error. Then I went back to the file manager, and after patiently waiting for the page to load incredibly slowly, it showed up with no files again. I didn't upload much, so it would be fine if it's gone, but I don't even have the default files. I'm lost right now. . .
