I was noticing that my disk space used is looking a bit high. When I go to CPanel, it displays this on the stats:
2.bmp

But when I go to disk space usage summary it shows:

1.bmp

why is there different results???

I believe the second one is updated slower than the first one.
Did you make any backups?

Not to my knowlege. I had a large file on there but I deleted it, or so i thought?

can you tell if my large zip file is still out there somewhere in cPanel? I have looked all over, but could not find it. I'm positive I have deleted it, this was about a month or so ago, no longer than that

Check the trash bin on File Manager. If you don't delete from there, it still shows as being used up space.

Ah, finally. I was wondering when it would get cleared.

It has been a good 6 or so weeks since the file was deleted.

Thanks guys!!

What could have caused this to take so long for the deleted file(s) to get whiped off??

Good call, I didnt even think of that. So maybe flushing the dns would have shown me that it was fully deleted?

This problem is sometimes caused by cPanel not updating the user quota after the user deleted some files.
Yesterday I run a script which fixes this problems by recalculating the quotas for each user.
