I'm fairly new here so if this is a taboo subject or one dealt with before then I apologize up front. I merely seek enlightenment...

What is the rationale behind requiring semi-frequent postings in these forums to keep a free hosting account active?

I'm not complaining, but I've been trying to understand this business model and I'm just stumped.

I understand that X10 needs to assure that the sites hosted are "active", but how does forum posting relate to that?

To my way of thinking, measuring hits to the hosted site or even updates would be a better criteria.

Can someone please explain this system to me?

You do not need to post, just log in once every two weeks. This ensures us that the account is still active and not just using up space and resources on the servers.

Plus while you're here, you'll prolly want to poke around the News/Announcements area, just in case any big changes come around that affect you :)

Ah, that makes a little more sense. I guess I misread. Thanks for straightening me out!
