Posting Links for downloads

I've been trying to post on my Blog some of my programming work but for some reason every time that I add in the link for the .exe file I get a 403 Forbidden exception when I go to post/update.

This might be blocked by your blog software or the server. Downloading executables is kinda risky.

It doesn't matter if I change it to compressed formatt either.

I'm using wordpress btw.

is the folder not accessible for the user? you'll have to make sure the permissions are right and there is not htaccess directive blocking it.

But its so weird. I only get the forbidden when I'm posting links. It will post fine any other time just not when I post a link. Even if its to google. I also just changed permissions for the file to 777 and its still doing it

I just tried to use a tinyurl to get around it. Worked on my post but when I used it on my page it threw the error. Making it seem fairly random. :/
