Hi! This is my first post on this forum, and I feel a little lost. I read a post on a thread that quotes something that I assume to be part of the ToS:

FILE HOSTING: Hosting accounts may not be used to store backups, personal files, or non-web accessible files. Any files hosted on the account must be directly related to the website the account is intended for. Files over 10MB in size will be automatically removed from non-upgraded accounts.

I run a very small school club website that plays a Paralympic sport for the visually impaired, and would like to upload videos from my GoPro camera I use for games onto it for viewing by club members without a login or anything. Is this allowed? If so, may I get unlimited disk space? How does one go about that? Again, total newb questions, but I'm by no means an expert webmaster, lol.

Thanks,

Eric

You wouldn't be allowed to store enough video to make it worth your while even with unmetered space, since there's a 512MB cap on total video. And the Free Hosting servers are most definitely not the best choice for video hosting in any case. The recommendation is that you actually put the videos up on YouTube or a similar service that's set up properly for video streaming, then embed the videos in your web pages here. You can usually set up the videos so that they're only available via your website, if that's your preference - but you may find that having a wider audience helps a lot.

Great, thank you for the quick reply! Yup, trying to make the Free plan work, because we're literally a 5-6 member club on a good day. I just like making things for small entities like us have the quality of a large, well-funded club. YouTube it is!

Thanks again for the quick and to-the-point help, I appreciate it.

Have a great day!

Eric
