lol ok, i'm pretty sure that he's not the president of Israel or Lebannon, so why are you complaining man, there's nothing we can do to stop their war, the only way they'll stop is probably just running out of ammunition and do you not remember we CAPTURED Sadam Hussein? jeez i can't believe how so many people are just rediculously retarded (not referring to you necessarily, cyberzxt)

Before I give you my opinions, I should say that I am a very strong Republican; I am an active member of our county/state's Republican party, the chair of our county Teenage Republicans and I was an active member of Bush/Cheney '04 reelection campaign.
I support President Bush's actions. I believe he truly has in his heart what is best for our country, it just doesn't appear to come out that way on occasion. Look at our accomplishments: an abortion ban in South Dakota, gay/lesbian marraige bans in several states, the capture of Saddam Hussein, as well as other major terror leaders, a good start on immigration, an ethanol bill that will hopefully get all our gas to using E-85+ once all the bugs are worked out of it, not to mention many other breakthroughs in stem cell research, education with his No Child Left Behind act, heath care and social security. I think there could be a better President, but in the Bush/Kerry election, I think Bush was the most qualified candidate at the time. I think electing a Democrat into office and having the House/Senate as a Democrat majority would be the worst possible thing America could do right now.

You aren't dead yet are you?

I only support Bush because of his views on gay marriage; it's too bad that he's against most stem cell research. My parents just had to choose from the lesser of two evils; however, I have been disagreeing with some of Bush's policies as of late. The Iraq / Afghanistan war is necessary.. thanks to Bush we have prevented additional terrorist attacks from happening. I just hope that Bush sides with the G8 and tells Israel to be careful in bombing Lebanon.

As a matter of fact, we should be cutting off money to Israel.. $3 billion US a year can purchase a LOT of weapons.. if we cut funding to Israel, you could bet 110% that the war would end. A conflict would exist, but at least then Israel would lose it's "supply train."

Well Jacob, think of it like this. If a democrat DID win the upcoming election for presidency, don't you think they would screw up the country so badly that we would go back to being a republican majority?

Yeah, that's true. It would be great if the Republicans could just stay majority forever :) Unfortunatley for us Republicans, it doesn't work that way. As soon as a Democrat gets elected, the first thing the Dem would do would be pull out of Iraq, which as of now, would be a huge mistake. Our country can't afford mistakes.

I believe that Bush is fully acting like an idiot in our office. I am still stunned that he got reelected, but Kerry wasn't much better either. To begin, I think we should stop having "too-rich-for-all-of-you-well-off-life-even-if-i-wasn't-president" candidates around. We need a regular person with good views (like my mom ).

Though I believe a full-on war is an idiotic mistake, we did need to get in there to stop Al-Qaeda and Saddam. However, we should leave warring peoples, especially those that have been doing such since their religion began, to war. Their death should be their responsibilities, not ours.

He also shouldn't be pushing an ultra-religious Christian agenda into our country. He should lead our country, not control it.

I dont think Bush is helping the world today.

Maybe its just cause I dont like him, but so far were trying to reform a bunch of countries that really dont give a damn.

If they wanna blow themselves up, well i say just pull our troops out and let them do such.

In my opinion, he's not doing what's best for the country.. lobbiests, big business, and Republican re-election are influencing all of his decisions; however, he isn't alone. Many former presidents and candidates have received tons of money for campaigning, and in return pass some sort of law/bill that works in their favor as a type of "payback". I think it's time we clean up the government, regardless of whether the people are Republican, Democrat, Independent, (other?)

I disagree. I believe President Bush still has our country's best interests at heart, even if they have been lost in his agenda. I don't think he's acting like an idiot, either. Sure, he's made plenty of mistakes, but which president hasn't? In my opinion, Clinton acted like more of an idiot than President Bush has. I don't believe Republicans for re-election are influencing his political views that much, either. Of course he's going to rally for the Republicans to keep the control of the Senate and House, because he's a Republican, and, after all, we elected and re-elected him.

was it really necessary? other threads have shown fairly strongly that it is more likely that Bush and his administration were behind the so-called terrorist attacks on 11 sept 01; which raises a good question about the validity of his war.

Tell me this then, why would he blow up his own country? Why would Bush want to destroy many innocent lives?

As for the original question. I don't think it is right for him to push more troops into Iraq. It is only going to cause more hurt and suffering. I reckon all tropps, British and American troops, should pull out, right now.

Zenax
