Hi everyone. I am new to all of this so bare with me. I am trying to run statfink for my fantasy football league because yahoo sucks and makes you pay $10 to have a stat tracker.

Anyway, I got everything almost done and now I get the following error when I try to configure my statfink settings:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'Username'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/Username/public_html/statfink/helm/config/installdb.php on line 272
Cannot connect: Access denied for user 'Username'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

(I replaced my real username with "username" in the above error message)

What exactly does this mean? I typed in l"ocalhost" as my database host. Do I need to type in the IP address of my DB server? If so, where do I get it?

Thank you all in advance.

No, in cPanel go to "MySQL Databases", go tward the bottom and add the user to the database in the "Privileges" section.

Thank you for your quick response. I have done this and now I receive the following message:

Cannot select database "Username_statfink": Access denied for user 'username_Username'@'localhost' to database 'Username_statfink'

What do I do now? Thanks
Edit:
Never mind. I got it. I had a letter missing. Thanks
