Problem getting to homepage

I have a problem when trying to bring up my homepage. Instead of my homepage I'm getting an index page and than have to click on the 1 in order to get my homepage. Can you fix this?

That's not a hosting problem, that's what happens when files aren't uploaded properly. Go into File Manager or FTP and move all the files from public_html/1 to public_html to resolve this.

I did upload my files in public_html that is the problem. 1 is the name of my first file and instead of it staying as public_html it changes to public_html/1. I have taken them all out and reloaded them and every time they do the same thing. Now I don't have a file icon next to my public_html at all. My site has been screwed up every since the now for almost 2 weeks and it isn't anything I have done. Believe me I uploaded exactly as I was suppose to in publis_html.
