Hello there.

Anyone else having problems accessing their sites?

I'm trying to access mine:

chaucerict.co.uk
chaucerict.x10hosting.com

On Firefox I simply get a "Problem Loading Page" error, stating that the server was taking too long to respond.

Flushed my cache just in case.

Trying to view the site in IE simply gets me the Bing window, stating "We did not get any results for..."

Tried both URLs.

Site was up & running this afternoon.

Can anyone advise? Thanks.
Edit:
I'm sorry, it's back up now. Refreshed my timed out screen & no probs.

Was down for a good 10 minutes, mind.

That was odd. Does this sort of thing happen a lot?

The servers can have short periods of time where it is slow or too slow for you to view web pages.
This may be caused by a user with a high resource usage. Once this is detected, the user would be suspended and the server would become more stable.

how long does it take for the user to be suspended? it's been on pretty much all day

I believe there is a cron every now and again that is ran to suspend accounts. For manual suspensions, it's typically within a few minutes. For automatic, nearly instantly (in the case of resource usage so to speak). Apache shouldn't go down due to a suspension occuring, however in terms of server load, there is a status page within cPanel which you can use to check the server load. Low load and RAM usually means it's probably accounts being put in or Apache restarting for whatever reason. In terms of suspension for server load, it's X amount of resources consumed in X amount of minutes. I don't know what the exact limits are, but definitely if something is eating away at resources like crazy, it's going to be suspended quickly for high usage.

I'm not too sure if it has simply been a traffic issue. A number of users appear to have posted similar issues to mine & apparently the admins were aware of a few problems.

I'll be honest I really don't know. However, I do know my site's been on & off all day. It's been 50/50 whether it was up or not.

However, this is free hosting, so I can't be too grumpy.

Right now it's up & running. Thanks for the replies. I'll bear the high resource usage in mind, though for my site I doubt that's going to be an issue.

Just tried your site & it was still down.

Mine's down again - oh, no it's back again - oh hang on it's down again.

As I type this it's back up! No it's down as I refresh the page!

Oh, and I can now access teenhotspot.co.cc

This is all happening in the space of a few minutes.

I know, it's insane.
