Problem updating my website

Hello and thanks for your help in advanced. I uploaded the files of my website 2 days ago (January 6th) and today (January 8th) I needed to upgrade some files and add others. I did it about 1 hour and a half ago but I don't see the upgrade yet when I open it. Does it take long to update with the new uploaded files? Did I missed something in the process of uploading the new files? I didn't see any "save" button or something like that to update so after finishing uploading I just closed the folder.
This is what I did: Deleted the files that I didn't want. Uploaded the new files on the public.html folder and closed the public.html folder after everything was done. Should I have done something extra? Or should I just wait to see if the upgrade will happen soon?

Changes like that usually appear instantly.
Just a shot in the dark here - have your tried clearing your browser cache?
