problem with smtp and fsockopen

i want to send an email through a remote smtp server but i got this error. could you help me?

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to exmail.emirates.net.ae:25 (Connection timed out) in /home/faizolla/public_html/includes/class.smtp.php on line 122

Are you sure that is the correct server?
PHP was unable to connect to it.

yes. it works on my computer as localhost. is port 25 blocked ?
