Problems adding ads to php pages

Hi,
I'm having trouble adding the ad code to a php page (like the phpbb or agora). How can I edit and add the ad the phpbb forum in a way that it will effect all of the pages?

On a phpbb forum, I think you have to edit a file in the skin that you are currently using. So go to the directory of that skin, and find a file called something like: header.php or tpl_header.php something like that, and just paste the ad code at the top of everything.
