Problems erasing files

Hi, I am quit new in working with Wordpress. I am trying to erase all files and creating a new Wordpress default web and the ftp give me several errors. Could you tell me who i can erase everything to start again?

Note the permissions on public_html (or the directory you installed Word Press)

Change them to 0777

Try to remove the files/directories

Change the permissions on public_html back to their originals.
