Problems installing Joomla components

Hello,

I have been having problems to install Joomla components in my website. When i click on the install button i get the next message:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@cvvagalume.x10hosting.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.39 Server at cvvagalume.x10hosting.com Port 80

After you install joomla set file permissions to 755. If that doesn't work change the name of your .htaccess file to .htaccess.bk

Let me know how you make out

None of the two solutions worked for me. The message is still the same.
