problems with forums and more

Hello I installed phpbb but I keep getting 404page when trying to access admin or home page.
so I have installed simplemachines which is working fine but When I type in my domain
http://projectx.x10hosting.com/
I get a page saying welcome to xhosting not the forum
but when I type in http://projectx.x10hosting.com/index.php?action=home
forum page comes up so why does it not come up when I type in

http://projectx.x10hosting.com/

I heard that phpbb is the best but I can not get it to work always get the 404page

I really like SMF. It worked well for me. All of the links you provided are dead for me. The only reason I could see you having this problem is if your .htaccess file is bad.

I have fixed the links I did not know that I was allowed to insert links on the forum.

Im using SMF but can not find how to change the logo

http://projectx.x10hosting.com/index.php?action=home takes you to a forum homepage

I think on SMF, you just need to go to the template folder and change the logo.jpg file.
