Greetings gamers,

I recently purchased a PS2 ( Yeah, I'm behind in the times, plus only have so much cash these days - can't really see the point in plunking it down on a Wii or PS3 yet )

My last game system was a GameCube ( Still have it ) and a Nintendo DS.

I'd like to get my fiance' a game or two for it, but since I haven't owned one before, I hardly pay attention to what games are out there for it.

She is into games like The Sims ( we bought that one ) or games like on the G.C. ( Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing )

She isn't very good at driving games or action games ( like any fighting or RPG type game )

Since that narrows it down to probably 2 games (HaHa!) can anyone give me some ideas?

If it's PS2, she may be interested in games like SingStar (however, if she has a horrible singing voice, please, don't buy it) or EyeToy. She may also like Guitar Hero (newest one's are on PS2 are Aerosmith and III (could someone clarify about World Tour?)) but for the bundle it's around $100 in Australia.

Good luck finding a few good games, no one really produces many anymore for the PS2, and the GameCube is obsolete.

Heh. She has an okay singing voice, but not a game she'd be interested in anyway. Dunno if she'd be interested in Guitar Hero, as I said she mostly likes games like Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing.

We have a GameStop store that has quite a few PS2 games. Not many Gamecube, but thats fine - we have a few gamecube ones we like.

Its hard to be interested in console gaming when you are on a limited budget and they want $200-$500 for just the system, and then $50 for new games. Thats why we wait and just get refurbished older systems ... may not be ahead of the game, but its okay.

Yeah, I kind of know alot about being on a limited budget and not having next-gen consoles (although my brother's getting an Xbox360 for Christmas). Which is why I use PC games, as the system doesn't change every five years, the hardware (and OS) just gets upgraded (most of the time anyway.)

Being quoted makes me feel special :D
