Is it possible to grab the most recent announcement from a vBulletin forum and put it on an external site? I'm trying to put it on my home page http://japanfans.x10hosting.com, but I don't know how. I would like it to be like an RSS Feed or something.

Also, it doesn't have to be retrieved from vBulletin. I just want something so I could put announcements on the homepage like a blog or something. :lockd:

well, i don't know if vB has something like that built in, but if you know php, you could do that if it's not a feature. if you are the owner of the boards, then you can build a script to make an xml feed (or rss), then use that on the external site. if you don't, then you can cURL it and save the displayed final results to a cache page to reduce load times and server strains, and use that :)

i think x10 uses something like that, in their control panel; on their home site
they take the latest news from the forums most likely, or they manually post it up
i'm not sure

If the board is yours you can get the announcements of the database yourself. Or get rss feeds like said above. Without that I don't really know.
