Well, my question is a bit complex... I currently have a .co.cc domain pointing it's DNS to my free hosting account here in x10hosting. What I'd like to know is how I can make this domain work with Google Apps, mainly for mail issues. I know that I must validate the domain through CNAME, and modify the MX Entries for mail. But it's my first time in this host and the cPanel it's a bit different from other hostings that I've tried (I don't find an option to change CNAME and MX edit is complex). So my question is where I can modify CNAME or if there is a way that an admin could modify these settings for me. Do I need to open a Support Ticket for this?

And I also like to know if there's possible make to work the SMTP server from Google Apps in my free account to send my web and forum mails through SMTP instead of PHP mail?

Greetings from Chile!

PS: Sorry for my bad english...

I didn't use the CNAME when I was using Google Apps. I used the html file verification. You upload a html file to the server and it verifies it automatically.

There is no way around the MX entries. It's not too bad to do, as I remember.

But still... The problem is that I don't know how I can setup Google's MX Entries in x10host. I've tried with a few methods listed in Google Apps FAQ and didn't work either. I would really appreciate if somebody could mention the MX settings for Google Apps. By the way, form what I've been searching in this forum, someone said that you can ask an admin to modify your CNAME records, correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm not, I want to know if I need to open a ticket to do this (anyway, I want to modify the CNAME records of the other apps of Google as well).

The problem is the staff are really really busy and this will probably take a long time for them to get to. I don't think MX entries are anything to worry about.

0 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
1 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
2 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
3 ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM
4 ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM

even if you were to really mess this up, you only won't receive mail.

Thanks, I only needed these settings to make the thing work, and the HTML verification file works also. I guess I have to ask later for CNAME changes, since now admins are busy with the user's cleanup.
