question about copyright

If it's a website you designed or you have copyright, then you can.
The copyright rule says that you can't host copyright stuff that you have no rights to distribute or host.
For example: Copyright Mp3, Copyright software, etc.

ok thanks, well....i may be answering my own question here but, lets say i get a template from a site(which obviously lets you use their template) can i use it and just put their copyright information at the bottom?

Yes, you can do that as long as the makers distribute and there is no charge on using the theme.
