Question about email

the email function on my site works fine and redirects mail sent from there perfectly, however mail sent directly from any other email client wont work ?

I have my mail set up in the cPanel as admin@mydomainname, with a forwarder to my real email address on yahoo.

Any suggestions as to why mail sent by myself or members to that address via normal mail never gets delivered. ?

Disregard, It does work, just takes a lot longer to be delivered that way. Thanks for reading
