Question about file size limits ?

Before with cpanel there was a feature where the server scanned files,
and if they were larger than 10mb, they would be deleted automatically.
Is this still the same now with directadmin ?

just asking because there is some cases where the file may be larger
than whats required by any limit.

That would still be the case, as it is a measure to combat abuse, it might not currently be activated though but it will sure be once other things are sorted out.

All files are guaranteed a lifespan of 4 hours, to ensure enough time to extract a backup or installation archive for instance.

If you need to store larger files, you may want to consider premium hosting that does not have that limit, assuming the file itself is legit for you to distribute. Otherwise an option would be using dropbox or similar services.

thanks Anna,
i recall having issues before with a Geoip-data file before,
(used for visitor tracking and log files) it was around 16mb
and was deleted everytime i tried to add it.
it was part of a script called ztlogger showing visitor locations etc.
i found a very minimal replacement Geoip-data file thats less than 2mb,
but im sure the data in that file is very basic compared to the original file.
but thanks for confirming that.
