Question regarding DNS

Hello there

I have a question regarding DNS options

By default
http://mysite.mydomain.com/
automatiicallly redirects to
http://mysite.mydomain.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

but
http://www.mysite.mydomain.com
points to
http://www.mysite.mydomain.com/index.php


Is there anyway i can make http:// Point to the same location as www. ?
