Dear Sir, dear Ma'am,

first i want to inform you that english isn't my native language, so please be patient and try to understand me; it's appreciated ;)

I stumbled over x10hosting as a free web space provider using the google-search. I have a clear vision what to realize and maybe it's the best to name it right now:

- the site should be in german
- usage of a co.cc address forwarding to the main free webhoster (in your case x10hosting.com)
- php and mySQL usage (possible looking at http://x10hosting.com/freehosting.php)
- access 24/7 depending on bandwith usage (because it is a free package)
- content is programming related (Windows 32/64bit content, parts are linux)
- content does not contain warez, hacks, keygens, serials or other material violating any kind of laws
- possible downloads of sourcecode in ZIP and/or RAR format (part of lessons)
- possibility to (if needed) add a forum lateron in case it is needed to communicate
- sendmail usage (for forum) to inform administrators/moderators in case of law violation (the typical "i need a hack/crack for application XY" registrations and the possibility to delete them after mail receive)
- possibility of subdomains (i.e. blog.myname.x10hosting.com, forum.myname.x10hosting.com etc)

I want to start with a free packacke testing x10hosting.com if it fits the need. I've seen that you have Permium hosting in three different kinds. This might be a solution lateron if the site is running the way i wanted to.

I have no problem adding an ADD (i.e. at the bottom of the page pointing to x10hosting or inside the menu) cause if the site is doing what i want i am the last not telling who managed the site and gave me this advantage.

Right now, i haven't registered for a package (only for this forum) to clear things up. I don't want you to do anything senseless (like agree and lateron you have to remove the account) so i mentioned what i want.

I appreciacte your replies and wish you a nice weekend,
WinAsmFreak

P.S.: if this is in the wrong section of your forum, please move it to the right one, thanks

All those things are allowed and are given in a free hosting package, if you need more space / bandwidth then an enhanced fre package would help (you just add some adds to somewhere on your site).

I have been using x10 for a very long time and am very happy and satified. Most issues are resolved by the user and if there is a problem community support or official support is very quick. I would advise you sign up and try it for yourself. I'm a developer, have tutorials, code, programs on my site and x10 hasnt taken it down so it seems not to be a problem. let us know if theres anything else we can help you with.

Are you sure about that?

The German language is not supported at x10Hosting - English or Spanish, although if you have a translation of it to English then I *THINK* (not 100% sure) it's "ok". Hopefully someone can confirm that or tell you otherwise.

- usage of a co.cc address forwarding to the main free webhoster (in your case x10hosting.com) - Easy to do. The nameservers for x10Hosting are "ns1.x10hosting.com" and "ns2.x10hosting.com".
- php and mySQL usage (possible looking at http://x10hosting.com/freehosting.php) - Yes, this comes with your free account.
- access 24/7 depending on bandwith usage (because it is a free package) - Bandwidth shouldn't be a problem. It's more how the servers are feeling. There is no guarantee that the free servers will stay up 100% of the time, but admins try to keep them running as much as possible. You must understand sometimes, there will be times when it goes down. This is expected of a FREE service.
- content is programming related (Windows 32/64bit content, parts are linux) - that shouldn't be a problem.
- content does not contain warez, hacks, keygens, serials or other material violating any kind of laws - that's good, because as per the TOS
Warez: Includes pirated software, ROMS, emulators, phreaking, hacking, password cracking, IP spoofing, etc., and encrypting of any of the above. Also includes any sites which provide "links to" or "how to" information about such material.
- possible downloads of sourcecode in ZIP and/or RAR format (part of lessons) - probably not allowed, as per the TOS again -
File Storage: x10Hosting accounts are not to be used for file storage, your account will be suspended if found to be hosting files for download. Downloads are only allowed on your x10Hosting account if they have to do directly with your website. e.g. you developed custom software and are selling it or giving it away. Accounts may not be used for mirrors, game file hosting, or any other type of file hosting not specified here.
You could host it elsewhere, plenty of free sites out there and link to THEM instead though.

- possibility to (if needed) add a forum lateron in case it is needed to communicate - you can do this quickly and easily through Fantastico in the cPanel. Or alternatively download forum software of your choice and upload it to your space.
- sendmail usage (for forum) to inform administrators/moderators in case of law violation (the typical "i need a hack/crack for application XY" registrations and the possibility to delete them after mail receive) - Do you mean delete the user/question or delete the email? Either way, of course, both are possible.
- possibility of subdomains (i.e. blog.myname.x10hosting.com, forum.myname.x10hosting.com etc) - this can be done through the cpanel, easy to do. Pretty self-explanatory when you get into the cPanel.

- You don't need to display an advert. IF you wish to you can, totally up to you. As bnaylor has said, there is something called "Ad-Enhanced". x10hosting has under gone a few changes in recent months and with this package you can't actually sign up for it. To get this, you'd have to put the specific ad-code on your site (I believe it has to be in the TOP HALF of your page where it can be seen WITHOUT having to scroll) then contact OFFICIAL support (link on the right hand side called "Support", where they will review your site and make sure it follows the guidelines then you're account would be upgraded.

Right now, i haven't registered for a package (only for this forum) to clear things up. I don't want you to do anything senseless (like agree and lateron you have to remove the account) so i mentioned what i want.

Please see my writing in RED.

Welcome.

Incidently, I was a free host user here until a week or two ago. For $5.95, I've had 100% uptime, quick site loads and all-round excellent support. I prefer to know that PAYING for the hosting, will have my site up 99.5% (or whatever it advertises on the premium hosting page) then not having my site up and not knowing how long it will be down for.

Dear bnaylor (Braeden?) , dear xxll_martin_llxx,

thanks for your replies and clearing the things up. From the moderator status of xxll_martin_llxx i assume he/she is speaking in x10hosting.com terms.

Both of you answered me many questions and i appreciate your effort to help me in this case.

As xxll_martin_llxx told, the german language is not supported (nor wanted?) on x10hosting.com. Maybe it is possible to grant access for german language if we support it for x10hosting.com? This is a question to discuss for the heads. We'll sign support in case it is needed.

All other questions are answered by this senior moderator xxll_martin_llxx in a positive way regarding the main tasks for this site.
Even bnaylor as a hosting member agreed to most of the questions given in the main thread.

I dont know if it is possible to clear things up with german language (as the site should use it). If you need german ppl for x10hosting.com to agree german sites to be hosted please drop me a line.

Kind Regards,
WinAsmFreak

It's not that it's not wanted but if we don't have the staff that can speak that language we can't really support it.

Because this is an UNOFFICIAL support area for member-to-member you won't get an answer from the admins here, for an official answer you'd need to contact them at http://support.x10hosting.com/ but you will have to be patient for an answer.

Thanks.

Hope that answers all you need to know, if so, please reply to this and I will close it.
