Hi all,

I have a quick question about the Zero Tolerence Policy and TOS. I recently became the Chairman of the Website Committe of my volunteer fire department, and am getting my website setup. My domain for now is eastwoodvfd.x10hosting.com. What I was wondering, is the TOS has a policy in it saying you cant have an image hosting site. On our site we are wanting to install the gallery software to have pictures of various incidents we respond to, and the community relations, or PR, events we go to, such as parades, our ice cream social, and such. Would doing this, and just allowing myself and our photographer access, make us in violation of the TOS? We are just going to have pictures that were taken by our department, and copyrighted by us on there.

Also I wanted to ask, what is the best way to log into the forums for purposes of the inactivity timer? I noticed in the account control panel, that it has a link, but it doesnt log me in. Do I need to follow that link then login for it to count? Or do i just need to come directly to the forums and log in for it to count?

Thanks for the help!

I think as long as there isn't public access to upload photos then it doesn't count as an image hosting site and you shouldn't have any problems with the ToS.
For the inactivity timer, you just have to log into these forums at least once every 30 days and that will prevent the suspension.

"image hosting site" is like photobucket or imageshack. ie, it is a repository for images that are to be displayed on other sites. Say you have a site with verylittlediskspace.com. x10 does not want you storing your images here (to save diskspace and bandwidth) and displaying them on another site.

If they are photos to be displayed on your x10hosting site, that would not be in violation of the TOS.

I just sign in here at the top of the Forum. Account Panel does not count, and while I assume coming to the Forum via the Account Panel should count, I am 100% sure.

Thanks for the quick replies! Thats what I thought, but I wanted to be 100% sure. I figured the inactivity timer was ran from the forums itself, but the link to the forums from the ACP looks like a unique link, so i wasnt sure.

Thanks again!
