Before the migration, the Raw Access Logs function was enabled on free accounts. Now it is disabled.
This is a built-in feature in cPanel, that uses minimal overhead, and is much more efficient/consumes less resource, than the alternative using Google Analytics.

I'd like to suggest that rather than pointing users to Google Analytics, the raw access log be re-enabled and users that want to analyze the data be pointed to any of the free tools available. There are a number of free log analyzers available for download. I personally use Deep Log Analyzer free edition and it provides all kinds of stats and other relevant info. Not to mention, if I want more granular information than is provided by the reports, I can always open and view the log itself or dump it into a spreadsheet to make the fields sortable.

I don't like how you say the hosting-server-side logging is "much more efficient and consumes less resources."

Should I infer that your reply indicates that the raw access logs will not be re-enabled on free hosting?

If so, I need to know so I can get started setting up an account with GA and Sitemeter to get the all of info the raw access logs provide.

Pleas let me know.

Thanks.
