Recommending x10 and Account Limitations

I've been around x10 for a few years, though not directly interacting, so I've been somewhat out of the loop on recent developments. I noticed that Free hosting http://x10hosting.com/free-hosting-signup now offers "Unmetered Disk Space & Monthly Transfer" which to me means a free account can use as much disk space and transfer as much data as desired without limits. However, when I log onto my free account, I have a limitation of 1GB disk space and 20GB monthly transfer. Am I misinterpreting the current offer or will I be able to exceed 1GB storage and 20GB monthly transfer if I create a new account at this moment in time? I've heard of some accounts retaining their initial characteristics even if new features are released and I am uncertain if this is one of those instances.

I bring this up because a friend of mine is currently looking to build a website and I thought to mention x10 to him for the free services. To that end, I'm also curious if there are any bonuses that are applied to my account if I successfully recommend a new user to x10?
