Redirecting to IP Address

Hello,
My website is arcadex.ca, and I am trying to redirect play.arcadex.ca to an IP address. I have tried doing this through both my domain registrar and through x10hosting. How should I do this?

Are you trying to have http://play.arcadex.ca redirect to an IP (ex. http://192.168.1.1) or are you trying to have it resolve to an IP address? (with an A record)?

I am trying to change an A record, with other hosts I was able to do this but I can not figure out how to do this on x10hosting.

In the Domains section of cPanel go to "Simple DNS Zone Editor" or "Advanced DNS Zone Editor"
